Our Tungsten Carbide Rotary File Specifications

Material Difference

Our tungsten carbide rotary files (grinding heads) are made of premium tungsten carbide. Most rotary files on the market are made of carbide, but ours are made of premium tungsten carbide. This results in better performance, sharper edges, and greater wear resistance.

Appearance Difference

Tungsten carbide rotary files (grinding heads) exhibit the characteristic black sheen of metallic tungsten; while most rotary files on the market are made of carbide and have a white sheen. The difference is easily visible to the naked eye.

Applications

Tungsten carbide rotary files (grinding heads) have a wide range of applications, including mold making, chamfering and grooving of mechanical parts, cleaning burrs and flash from castings, forgings, and welds, finishing pipes and impellers, and artistic carving of metallic and non-metallic materials (bone, jade, stone, etc.).

Instructions for Use

Tungsten carbide rotary files (grinding heads) are primarily used with power tools or pneumatic tools. The drive speed typically ranges from 6,000 - 50,000 rpm.

Difference Between Single/Double Flute

Double flutes, with their intersecting grooves, are more suitable for workpieces with relatively low density, such as wood, plastic, and aluminum. Double flutes also offer faster chip removal.

Single flutes are more suitable for harder workpieces, such as iron, copper, and steel.

During cutting, debris clogs the tool grooves, causing the groove depth to decrease and the cutting ability to decline. This is what we usually refer to as a dull tool.

Therefore, choosing the right tool can significantly improve the workmanship.
